A note on methodology

The 2007-08 Judges Directory represents the combined efforts of the Wisconsin Law Journal and the Waukesha County Bar Association to bring practitioners a highly useful tool in working within the Waukesha County Circuit Court and area municipal courts, and the Eastern District of Wisconsin, as well as the Milwaukee trial courts.

We contacted 71 judges. All were given biographies from previous editions, or were presented with biographies assembled from the Wisconsin Court System’s Web site and/or other Web sites, and we asked for their review and comments. We were pleased by the response rate: We heard back from approximately 70 percent, many of whom gave extensive information.

Every effort was made to ensure that the information provided was accurately reproduced. However, due to the rapidly changing nature of the court system and the dynamic personalities of the judges profiled in this publication, some of the information may have become outdated.
