Wisconsin senators choose US attorney finalists
Madison (AP) Wisconsin Sens. Herb Kohl and Russ Feingold have chosen two finalists for the vacant U.S. attorney's position in Milwaukee.
The senators recommended President Barack Obama select either Richard Frohling or James Santelle. Both are assistant U.S. attorneys in the Milwaukee office.
Former President George W. Bush appointed Steven Biskupic to the post in 2002. Biskupic resigned in January after Obama was elected.
Obama's appointee will be responsible for prosecuting federal crimes in the 28-county Eastern District of Wisconsin.
