Codes of Ethics

The Center for the Study of Ethics in the Professions, which is part of the Illinois Institute of Technology, maintains a wide collection of “codes of ethics.” The Codes of Ethics Online consists of professional societies, corporations, government, and academic institutions.” Examples include the American Counseling Association, American Institute of Architects, and the American Association of Public Opinion Researchers. The website has an “About this Project” page, which outlines the purpose and goal of the site.

The researcher can browse by professional category, view an alphabetical listing, or utilize their customized search engine to access the online materials. The Center’s paper collection (over 850 codes of ethics) is also indexed and copies are available for a small fee.
