Tap the Power

The Wisconsin Legislative Reference Bureau’s Library offers a variety of services and resources to make a researcher’s job easier.

The “Tap the Power” series is a personal favorite. Tap the Power guides are annotated bibliographies of in-house and quality online resources on various topics. The librarians who compile these guides clearly put in a lot of work. Each one thoroughly covers the subject matter.

Some recent guides include Identity Theft, Higher Education, Election Administration and Climate Change. Prior topics have included Eminent Domain, No Child Left Behind, Shoreline Zoning, and Light Rail. Checking for a Tap the Power sheet when beginning research can save the researcher a significant amount of time.

The LRB library is open to the public and provides a remarkable amount of information on the lawmaking process and public policy issues. Just one more Wisconsin library to appreciate during National Library Week.
