file format:
Wisconsin Law Journal uses a Windows platform environment. The best way to send us camera-ready advertisements is a pdf file. A pdf file created on a Macintosh is acceptable.
- Other
choices:
- If not sending a pdf file, i.e.using any of the below,please mail or fax us a hard copy of your ad. Fax: 414-276-9999
- Quark Xpress for Windows,either 3.32 or 4.1. Quark document must be “collected for output ”which includes all associated pictures and fonts used in the ad.
Important:If a Macintosh Quark file,all fonts must also be included. Any Macintosh Quark file will be sent “as is ”to the printer,as Windows cannot read Macintosh fonts.
- Adobe Illustrator file (with fonts as outlines)
- Photoshop document
- An eps or tif file,as long as we have the fonts used in the document. Missing fonts show up as courier.
- Miscellaneous:
- Line screen of 85.
- If 4 color is being used,pictures must be saved in CMYK format or they will not separate correctly.
- Spot color must be either a PMS number,or created in CMYK format.
- Minimum of 300 dpi is recommended.Using artwork from the web is not recommended as it is only 72 dpi and reproduces poorly in print.
